​WHAT ARE ATLANTIS ABUTMENTS?

Atlantis abutments are a digital implant solution intended to support cement-retained crowns and bridges. Designed in a virtual environment, they are patient-specific that provide an optimal foundation for function and aesthetics. Designed through the patented Virtual Atlantis Design (VAD) software, the custom abutments support cement and friction-retained restorations and are suitable for all positions in the mouth. In addition, Atlantis abutments support corrections pertaining to single, partial, and fill jaw restorations. 

One of the biggest challenges our clients face is finding perfect implants. At Dentsply,  they place a high emphasis on making their products function well and look natural. Atlantis abutments are created carefully to match the shape of the patient’s mouth. As their motto claims, “abutments as individual as your patients,” Atlantis abutments reach beyond computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) technology when it comes to individualization. Moreover, versatility and biocompatibility are prioritized when it comes to these products. There is a wide variety of biocompatible materials are available for Atlantis abutments, including titanium, gold-shaded titanium, and multiple shades of zirconia.

Lastly, for added convenience, the implants from Dentsply are always delivered with their corresponding screws. The custom implant abutments and screws are specifically designed to correspond and match one another’s individual geometry.

​ATLANTIS CROWN ABUTMENT VERSUS TRADITIONAL CAST ABUTMENT

​Atlantis custom-fabricated abutments are a time and expense saver compared to traditional cast implants because Atlantis ones are manufactured from biocompatible titanium and zirconia. They are also produced through a patented state-of-the-art milling process that ensures the highest level of quality and precision every single time for any type of case.

​WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE ATLANTIS ABUTMENTS?

For dentists and clinicians, there is a single-step placement process that does not require cement or modifications. The Atlantis abutments are simply screwed in and may be quickly removed for easy retrieval if necessary.
